Masterclass med Atte Rimpelä

My roots for physical practices are in contemporary circus and various external apparatuses within it. By changing view from the apparatus, to a body that is working with an object, the apparatus became the body and with that shift of order I started to discover many new things and a sense of freedom from working with my way of existing. Rest is not history but a confused relationship of pure love.

I hold lessons in combining principles of acrobatic movement with dance practice. The lessons aim to give tools for exploring acrobatics by diving into the mechanics behind the tricks, dissembling them for individual exploration beyond fixed tricks. Towards dancing acrobatically.

The lessons consist of guided exploration into these methods and of acrobatic exercises and sequences to give varied experiences of acrobatics.
